Hill delivers careers assembly to students

Today, industry leading UK housebuilder, Hill delivered a whole school assembly.

The assembly focused on the many career pathways that are available within the construction industry. Tom Larkin, Senior Contract Surveyor and Amy Dockerill, current trainee, spoke at depth about the Management Trainee Programme they offer, as well as the prospect of work placements with them.

Hill is a top 15 UK housebuilder, developing homes across London and the South East. They develop, build and sell properties which are bespoke in design. Housebuilding is one of the UK’s most successful industries and there is a huge demand for quality new homes.

Since Hill launched their trainee programme in 2003, they have welcome over 160 trainees to the business. The company invest heavily in this programme because they appreciate how important these early years are and truly believe that their trainees are the future of their company.

Steph McNeil, Assistant Principal and Director of Business Engagement at Bicester Technology Studio said: “This morning’s assembly was extremely engaging and showed a real insight into an industry that students wouldn’t naturally have access to”.
